In January 2022, we produced the resource ‘Time to Talk’, helping parents and carers to have better conversations with young people about relationships, sex and sexuality, amid contested, complicated and confusing messages.
Time to Talk is a guide designed for Christian parents and carers to better understand the different Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) curriculums taught across the UK.
The resource offers case studies on some of the difficult and contested issues in our culture, such as pornography, gender and sexual identity, and supports Christians to have better conversations on RSE with children at home and with their school.
Since the launch of the resource, we have hosted two online webinars, taking attendees through core themes in the RSE curriculum. The most recent webinar, on Monday, 25 September 2023 was about consent, sexual harassment and body image, with input from member organisation Faith in Kids.
Catch up on the series
- Time to Talk | Talking about our bodies with Ed Drew (September 2023)
- Time to Talk | Better conversations about Relationship and Sex education (February 2023)
Throughout 2024, we plan on hosting further webinars looking at different themes taught in the RSE curriculum. So, stay tuned!
