Tim Rowlands is announced as the new head of the Evangelical Alliance in Wales

The Evangelical Alliance is thrilled to announce that Tim Rowlands will be joining the staff team as the head of the Evangelical Alliance in Wales from 1 April, supporting the church in Wales in its local mission and amplifying its voice into wider society and government.

Gavin Calver, CEO of the Evangelical Alliance, commended the appointment saying: “I’m delighted that Tim is joining us to serve and support the church in Wales. He is an experienced church leader who knows first-hand how the church can engage politically and culturally in Wales. I am looking forward to serving with him and seeing God move powerfully across the nation of Wales.”

Born and raised in North Wales, Tim is an ordained Assemblies of God minister. Over the last 12 years he has served as a senior pastor, heading up Festival Church. As well as being a classically trained musician, Tim also has extensive experience in both local and national politics.

Tim said, “I am excited to be joining the talented team at the Evangelical Alliance. I’ve always been inspired by the values and culture of the team, especially their bravery and kindness, and I share their commitment of making the good news of Jesus known. I think this is a significant time for the church in Wales – it’s a moment to grow deeper in confidence, and to fully embrace the opportunities in front of us. I’m looking forward to seeing more of what God can do with and through us as we step up and say yes to Him.”

Tim is married to Emily with four older children.

Cyhoeddir mai Tim Rowlands yw pennaeth newydd y Gynghrair Efengylaidd yng Nghymru

Mae’r Gynghrair Efengylaidd yn llawn gwefr o gyhoeddi y bydd Tim Rowlands yn ymuno â thîm y staff fel pennaeth y Gynghrair Efengylaidd yng Nghymru o’r 1af o Ebrill, i gynorthwyo’r eglwys yng Nghymru yn ei chenhadaeth leol ac i fynd â’i llais i’r gymdeithas ehangach ac i’r llywodraeth.

Cymeradwyodd Gavin Calver, Prif Swyddog Gweithredol y Gynghrair Efengylaidd, y penodiad gan ddweud: “Rwyf wrth fy modd bod Tim am ymuno â ni i wasanaethu a chynorthwyo’r eglwys yng Nghymru. Mae’n arweinydd eglwys profiadol sy’n gwybod drosto’i hun sut y gall yr eglwys ymgysylltu’n wleidyddol ac yn ddiwylliannol yng Nghymru. Edrychaf ymlaen at wasanaethu gydag ef ac at weld Duw yn symud yn nerthol ledled cenedl Cymru.”

Ac yntau wedi’i eni a’i fagu yng Ngogledd Cymru, mae Tim yn weinidog ordeiniedig gyda Chymanfaoedd Duw. Dros y 12 mlynedd diwethaf, mae wedi gwasanaethu fel uwch-fugail eglwysig, yn arwain teulu Eglwys yr Ŵyl o eglwysi. Yn ogystal â bod yn gerddor wedi’i hyfforddi’n glasurol, mae gan Tim hefyd brofiad helaeth mewn gwleidyddiaeth leol a chenedlaethol, fel ei gilydd.

Dywedodd Tim, “Rwyf yn llawn cyffro o fod yn ymuno â’r tîm dawnus yn y Gynghrair Efengylaidd. Rwyf bob amser wedi fy ysbrydoli gan werthoedd a diwylliant y tîm, yn enwedig eu dewrder a’u caredigrwydd, a rhannaf eu hymrwymiad i wneud y newyddion da am yr Iesu yn hysbys. Credaf fod hon yn adeg arwyddocaol i’r eglwys yng Nghymru - mae’n adeg i ddwysáu mewn hyder, a llwyr gofleidio’r cyfleoedd ger ein bron. Edrychaf ymlaen at weld mwy o’r hyn y gall Duw ei wneud gyda ni a thrwom ni wrth inni gamu i’r adwy a dweud “Ie” wrtho Ef.”

Mae Tim yn briod ag Emily ac mae ganddynt bedwar o blant sydd wedi tyfu i fyny.
