The Evangelical Alliance releases new Relationships Matter online course
Relationships Matter: a seven-week course to explore the good, true and beautiful story of relationships, sex and sexuality found in the Bible from the Evangelical Alliance is out today.
The seven-part video series with an accompanying study guide is designed to help churches understand the cultural stories shaping our society’s views on sex and relationships, and why the God story for sex and sexuality offers a compelling, rich and life-giving vision of what relationships are and how to flourish in them.
Presented by Katherine Brown, Damilola Makinde and Peter Lynas, (part of the Being Human team) as they share insights on the world we live in, how to understand what the Bible says about sex and sexuality and why a life with Jesus is the most beautiful and freeing way to live.
Katherine Brown, Being Human engagement lead said: “My own story is one of same-sex attraction. When I started to explore Christianity as an adult and ultimately became a Christian, I found that Jesus and the life He offers is so much more beautiful and life-giving than what culture has to say about sex and sexuality."
The Relationships Matter course comes as part of a comprehensive suite of resources, also released today. This includes a revision of the evangelical affirmations on sex, sexuality and same-sex relationships, an accompanying guide and commentary, as well as the updated second edition of the hugely popular Transformed resource, a biblical and pastoral guide to understanding transgender.
Peter Lynas, UK director said: "We consistently hear from our members the need for help on how we can be theologically orthodox in our teaching and deeply compassionate in our pastoral care. We are excited that this course, and our wider resources, will help meet that need."

About the Evangelical Alliance
We are the Evangelical Alliance. We join together hundreds of organisations, thousands of churches and tens of thousands of individuals for the sake of the gospel. Representing our members since 1846, the Evangelical Alliance is the oldest and largest evangelical unity movement in the UK.
We love Jesus and we want everyone in the UK to be given an opportunity to know Him.
We love His church, and we will do all we can to unite evangelicals, building confidence in the gospel and speaking as a trusted voice into society to see it changed for Him.
Working across the UK, with offices in London, Cardiff, Glasgow and Belfast, our members come together from across denominations, locations, age groups and ethnicities, all sharing a passion to know Jesus and make Him known.
