Lynne Paterson joins as head of Evangelical Alliance Scotland

The Evangelical Alliance are delighted to welcome Lynne Paterson as the new head of the Evangelical Alliance Scotland from 9 September, as she joins us in our mission to support the church and make Jesus known throughout the nation and beyond.

Gavin Calver, CEO of the Evangelical Alliance, said of Lynne's appointment: "We are so excited to have a leader of Lynne's calibre joining us. She will be an amazing addition to the team and I look forward to serving with her in the many years ahead."

Lynne has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and served as the head of Tearfund Scotland for 15 years, before taking up her new role.

Having moved around a lot, Lynne has lived in various cities all over the UK but now lives in Glasgow and attends Hope Church.

Over the years she has been involved in church in several ways, from leading small groups to singing in worship teams. She also spent a few years on the leadership team of Elim Christian Fellowship in Paisley.

When asked what she was most looking forward to about her new role Lynne said: "Doing a lot of listening; to the staff team, to members, to leaders across the nation, to the broader church, and most importantly, to the voice of God. Then to take all that listening and learning and work as a team to see how we think God is leading us to invest our time and energy in the coming years."

About the Evangelical Alliance

We are the Evangelical Alliance. We join together hundreds of organisations, thousands of churches and tens of thousands of individuals for the sake of the gospel. Representing our members since 1846, the Evangelical Alliance is the oldest and largest evangelical unity movement in the UK.

We love Jesus and we want everyone in the UK to be given an opportunity to know Him.

We love His church, and we will do all we can to unite evangelicals, building confidence in the gospel and speaking as a trusted voice into society to see it changed for Him.

Working across the UK, with offices in London, Cardiff, Glasgow and Belfast, our members come together from across denominations, locations, age groups and ethnicities, all sharing a passion to know Jesus and make Him known.
