Sitting on local and national forums continues to enable me to provide essential insights into the needs of evangelical communities throughout Wales and champion the numerous ways that we have been able to provide for the most vulnerable in society at this time. They are opportunities to speak up and show how the church in Wales continues to play a vital role within our communities, as well as demonstrating that despite the restrictions on church meetings, Welsh churches up and down the country are very much alive and worshipping creatively online.
This month alone I have had the privilege of speaking into regular meetings of the following committees and forums:
- Faith Communities Forum’s Task and Finish group, discussing the reopening of places of worship
- Weddings and Ceremonies committee
- Funerals, Burials and Cremations Forum
- Interfaith Council of Wales
- Cross-Party Group on Faith
- Advisory groups on both the Religion, Values and Ethics and Relationships and Sexuality curricula
