When you join the Evangelical Alliance as a church plant, you’ll be joining a movement of Christians around the country who are passionate about changing our communities with the good news of Jesus.
With each church and church plant that decide to stand with the Evangelical Alliance, we become more effective in speaking and acting on your behalf. As we become the answer to Jesus’ prayer for a united church, we can achieve so much more together than we ever can alone.

Can your church plant be a member of the Evangelical Alliance?
We have a short set of requirements that church plants need to meet in order to qualify for membership of the Evangelical Alliance:
- Your church must have been established for less than two years.
(Please note, if your church has been established for two years or more, our church membership is more suitable for you instead and does not require you to have a guarantor church in order to apply). - Your church plant must have been planted from an established Evangelical Alliance member church that can act as a guarantor for your membership. The guarantor will be asked to confirm your church plant’s good standing and evangelical commitments until it has been established for two years and is in a position to apply for membership in its’ own right.
- Your church plant and guarantor church must be based or operating in the UK.
- We ask that your church plant agrees with our basis of faith and abides by the Evangelical Relationships Commitment. In addition, members should ensure that their integrity, both personal and corporate, is beyond question in all aspects of their life and ministry so that the credibility of the gospel is maintained.
- We ask for two references for your guarantor church from local evangelical churches or organisations, at least one of which must be a member of the Evangelical Alliance. The find a church facility can help you locate your nearest Evangelical Alliance member churches.
- We ask your church plant to support our work with an annual contribution by Direct Debit, with a suggested minimum contribution of £45 a year.
- A church plant membership lasts for two years, after which your church will need to apply for a church membership with us.
