Gracious Lord,

We come to you with the heaviness of heart and tearful eyes.
We will remember sorrow, the evil that took place during Holocaust.
Where six million Jewish people, and countless others, were slaughtered in acts of appalling cruelty and evil,
People targeted simply because of their identity.

In stillness, we remember, and pray for families and communities who still carry the pain of those times.

Lord, forgive us when we chose not to speak out, help us never to turn our back on those needing help in the midst of cruelty and pain.

Let us work for unity and never the hateful ways of division.

Grant us courage Lord to be peacemakers, who stand with those who suffer injustice.
May we strive for a world that is marked by love and acceptance.
May your healing love and hope-filled light dawn upon us, allowing good to triumph over evil.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
