Nicodemus: Young People & Street Safety
This resource will equip and inform parents and mentors on the issues of grooming, gangs, and their associated risks.
This resource delves into the reasons motivating young people to become involved with gangs, examining home environments, personal circumstances, and community influences. This guide also highlights indicators that may suggest a child or young person is either experiencing grooming or has become affiliated with a gang, and will explore strategies for providing essential support. The resource also looks at the legal aspects of gang participation, possession of knives and firearms, and the regulations surrounding ‘stop and search’.
Churches, mentors and carers can use this resource to raise awareness, recognise the signs, and learn how best to respond.
This resource is intended to complement the Nicodemus Child Sexual Exploitation, Gangs & Grooming awareness course. Register the offer code EVAL24 to purchase this resource.
