Standing up for love, freedom, justice and truth at this election
New election resources released from the Evangelical Alliance to help Christians engage.
The Evangelical Alliance is calling on Christians to be a voice for love, freedom, justice and truth at next month's general election, giving voice to the vision for the kind of society they want.
One month before the UK goes to the polls, the UK's oldest and largest organisation of evangelical Christians has released resources and a dedicated website to provoke engagement and conversations in constituencies all over the country.
With videos, case studies and questions to ask candidates the election.eauk.org website provides opportunities for Christians to have a voice in the kind of society we want for the future of the UK and the lives of our children and grandchildren.
Love, freedom, justice and truth are values rooted in Christian belief and practice, valuable for all in society, and supported by those of all faiths and none.
Dave Landrum, director of advocacy at the Evangelical Alliance, commented: "We want a society that is more loving, truthful, just and free, and this election is a chance to ask our parliamentary candidates what they will do to see this happen.
"Our society needs vision, and our role over the next month is to speak vision into the vacuum of our political system, and give voice to the core aspects of our faith which will help our society thrive.
"Love, freedom, justice and truth are not abstract ideas. They are perfectly embodied in the person of Jesus, and are vital for the flourishing of our society. We want to see them on the agenda in this election. We want to know how they will be fleshed out in policy."
The website will be updated during the course of the campaign including regular blog posts and features on key policy areas pertinent to the themes of love, freedom, justice and truth.

The Evangelical Alliance
We are the largest and oldest body representing the UK’s two million evangelical Christians. For more than 165 years, we have been bringing Christians together and helping them listen to, and be heard by, the government, media and society. We’re here to connect people for a shared mission, whether it’s celebrating the Bible, making a difference in our communities or lobbying the government for a better society. From Skye to Southampton, from Coleraine to Cardiff, we work across 79 denominations, 3,500 churches, 750 organisations and thousands of individual members. And we're not just uniting Christians within the UK – we are a founding member of the World Evangelical Alliance, a global network of more than 600 million evangelical Christians.
