Jesus, Light of the world,
May your light shine in places of darkness, bringing a new dawn of hope and possibility.
May mercy, justice and salvation flow in every area of society.

May your peace reach into places of violence, war and unrest, bringing reconciliation and forgiveness.

Jesus, wonderful Counsellor,
May your wisdom be given to all those who make decisions that impact us all.
Raise up peacemakers, courageous and compassionate leaders, who hear your voice.

O Christ, Saviour of the world, have mercy on us.

Jesus, Immanuel, God with us,
May your near presence with us mean that the lonely, broken and rejected of our world find new value, acceptance and love.

O Christ, Saviour of the world, have mercy on us.

Lord Jesus, may we demonstrate your presence this Christmas by living joyous, hope-filled, loving lives this coming year.
