Kathryn Gonzales

Kathryn joined the Evangelical Alliance in 2024 as the Wales associate. With a law degree background, Kathryn previously worked for the National Crime Agency for 16 years as an intelligence officer. Kathryn more recently worked in clinical and non-clinical settings for mental health charities as an accredited peer mentor with lived experience. Kathryn authored and self-published her own poetry anthology, It’s not just celery, in 2023 – a blended piece of literature about managing an eating disorder, exploring faith and being human.

I was in utter denial, narrowly escaping death when I managed to gain just enough weight to keep breathing.

Care for land is care for neighbour

17 February 2025I remember the frequent little lessons my dad in particular used to give whilst going about his daily farm chores: always close gates properly, leave things as you found them, don’t walk across land without first seeking permission. He repeated these things not to contain my natural curiosity as a child but simply to keep me safe from herds of young, unpredictable cattle, and to preserve land that was either growing a crop for food or being used for another life sustaining purpose.
