Emily Holden is operations director at Welcome Churches, which longs to see every refugee in the UK welcomed by their local church. She has a wealth of experience in supporting churches that are welcoming refugees and knows first-hand the pressure this can bring. Emily is passionate about seeing the UK church at the forefront of welcoming refugees. She has an MA in Conflict, Development and Security, where she specialised in European citizens' responsibilities to refugees.

27 September 2019I'm passionate about seeing every church welcoming the stranger and discipling the nations. One really effective way of doing that is through Welcome Boxes. This is where trained volunteers deliver a Welcome Box filled with small gifts and local information to refugees who have recently arrived in the local area.
