On 26th June 2003, a one-day consultation was held at St Paul’s, Robert Adam Street, London. Chaired by Rev Dr David Hilborn, the consultation brought together expert contributions from different perspectives on three aspects of the Israel/Palestine issue:
- The current political reality, with specific reference to the proposed ‘road map to peace';
- The wider ideological forces bearing on the situation in the Middle East - pan-Arabic nationalism, Islamism, Zionism etc;
- Competing Christian theologies of Israel – ‘Replacementism', Dispensationalism, Premillennialism etc, together with the debate about mission among the Jews.
