idea is the bi-monthly magazine for members of the Evangelical Alliance.It keeps readers informed about what’s happening at the Alliance, members’ news, and takes an evangelical look at some of today’s most challenging issues.
In previous issues of idea we've celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act, and we've examined current day slavery. We've looked at how member agencies can help us make a stand in our society, and how we as Christians, can be salt and light as we get involved in the political scene.
We've seen how alliance members work with some of the most marginalised groups of people, both at home and abroad. There have been articles on how alliance members are creatively addressing the needs of today's teens; and at the other end of the spectrum, valuing the experience of an older generation of British church goers, and looking at their needs and gifts. We've looked at what is being done to stop people leaving our church congregations, and why people are slipping out of the 'back door'.
As part of the vision of the Alliance's Forum for Change initiative we've examined how Christians can engage with the media, business and art in new and constructive ways.
