Will you share the miracle this Easter?

Churches are being encouraged to share the miracle this Easter by connecting with their local community.

Share the miracle is an initiative designed to help Christians build community links over the Easter season.

The three step plan is based on acts of kindness: give, invite, share.

Christians can give a gift to someone they know, then invite that person to an event before sharing with them the love of God.

Carshalton Beeches Baptist Church have been sharing the miracle for the last three years.

Phil Hornsey, minister at the church, said: "For the last three Easters we have collected as many eggs as possible to give away to people in our community.

"We gather on a Saturday morning a couple of weeks before Easter, pray and then go out onto the streets outside our local shops and door to door simply giving away the eggs along with an invitation to our Easter services.

"We have been amazed by the responses we have received and the opportunities God has opened up to share His love. A very simple act of kindness opening the door for people to come closer to God.

"People in our church had opportunity to pray for people in our community, share the gospel, bring smiles to many faces and our Easter services have also been full: superb!"
