Puppets and gospel ballooning: celebrating 25 years of creative ministries

Puppetry and lip syncing will be on order as One Way UK celebrate 25 years of creative ministries at the European Puppet and Creative Arts Ministry Festival.

The festival is open to all those who want to learn how to share the gospel through their creative skills.

There will be more than 70 workshops to explore, including Winging it – the art of improvisation and Puppetry Boot Camp.

You can also bring your best lip syncing to one of the six competitions open to all festival-goers.

Looking back over 25 years of One Way UK, the theme of the festival will be Celebrate, thanking God for His faithfulness and looking forward to all that's to come in the future.

And it's not all puppets. There will be seminars covering a range of topics including special educational needs in Church, story-telling, gospel ballooning and Messy Church.

Speakers include Maegan Bruce, Jared Hall, Bob Hartman and Shane Rootes from the USA, as well as home-grown talent including Kay and Steve Morgan-Gurr, Bob Goody from Scripture Union and Becky May from Messy Church.

There's plenty for both the creative arts novice and the experienced hand.

Alongside the workshops will be showcase presentations and six competitions in song, skit, vent/solo, creative arts, a lip sync challenge and an open competition.

The festival will take place in Rugby on October 28 and 29.

You can book a place at the festival via the website here.
