Black and white preaching: what can we learn from each other?

Let's talk about preaching! There's one gospel, different churches, many styles of preaching. This country needs to hear the gospel but how effective is contemporary preaching? What can we learn from each other?

These are some of the questions Joe Aldred, secretary for minority ethnic Christian affairs at Churches Together in England, and Paul Johns, director of the College of Preachers, will be discussing at an event this month.

They will be hosting the conversation alongside Revd Dr Carol Tomlin, pastor and author with an MPhil in Theology on black preaching styles, and Revd Bill Mahood, a tutor at the College of Preachers.

It takes place from 10.30am on Thursday, 17 February, at Churches Together in England http://www.cte.org.uk/ in Tavistock Square, London.
