Best of the Alliance: March 2017
Here are your favourite bits from March – the things that you liked, the things that moved you, the things that challenged and encouraged you.
One: unity in diversity – a personal journey
You've been following the launch of Steve Clifford's new book – his reflections on unity in the Church and in his family. Based on John 17:21, Steve tells his story of being ambushed by unity...
Prayer for peace
After the terrible attack on Westminster on 22 March, lots of you valued the prayer written by Fred Drummond, our director for prayer here at the Alliance. Read it again in full here.
Our most popular tweet this month was the call from Tearfund and World Vision to support the DEC appeal for East Africa. There's still time to help – can you?
The comfort of the cross
Wale Hudson-Roberts marked the beginning of Lent by reflecting on a world full of terror and the comfort the cross brings for Friday Night Theology.
This month on Facebook you found the director of the Evangelical Alliance in Northern Ireland's statement on the death of Martin McGuinness really helpful: "Today I pray that Northern Ireland will continue on its journey towards peace and a thriving society. I pray for the many victims of the Troubles and their relatives. I pray for Martin's wife and family. And I pray that during this season of Lent, we will pause to reflect on Jesus's ultimate act of sacrifice that brings the opportunity of true freedom to everyone."
Faith leaders at No. 10
Lots of you were really pleased to see that Steve Clifford had attended a reception of faith leaders at No 10 with the prime minister to mark the start of Lent. You can find out more about the gathering here.
